Price Band
In a book-built IPO, the company sets a price band, a floor and a cap. Investors bid within it, and the final issue price is set based on demand. Retail investors often bid at the cut-off, the top of the band.
Why It Matters
The price band signals how the company and its bankers value the business.
In India
Meesho’s 2025 IPO had a price band of ₹105 to ₹111 per share.
